Position

Business Development Executive – Telford

Overview

Cold call and network businesses throughout the UK, selling service contracts for automatic and
manual doors, gates, car park barriers and roller shutters. Predominantly office based but with a
requirement to visit customers when required.
Working hours will be Monday- Friday 8:30am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.
Holidays – 20 days

  • Time served experience within a B2B Sales position, preferably within the service industry
  • Confident with cold calling
  • Capable of reaching sales targets
  • Able to generate and follow up sales leads
  • Able to confidently and accurately quote service contracts
  • Capable of planning time, prioritising and managing own workload in a high-pressured environment
  • Able to expertly handle customers’ expectations and confidently handle difficult / stressful situations

Role Definition

Sell service contracts to new customers.
Be a key player in the growth and development of the ProDoor North division.
Always Provide excellent levels of customer service.
Undertake any other reasonable required duties as instructed by Management.
Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures

Role & Responsibilities

  • Cold calling a variety of businesses
  • Able to identify & target specific business sectors/geographical areas
  • Networking – Build relationships with potential customers
  • Identify requirements for service contract through questioning techniques
  • Identify & follow up future requirements/opportunities
  • Produce professional service contract quotations and submit
  • Follow up all quotes in a timely manner
  • Overcome any objections
  • Convert to a sale
  •  Set up customer account
  • Set up service contract on the system
  •  Attend customers premises where necessary
  • Represent Pro Door at exhibitions and events throughout the UK
  • Complete tenders

Role & Responsibilities

  • Check all completed jobs and mark as ready to invoice.
  • Chase customers for purchase orders.
  • Process quote acceptance orders
  • Order parts from suppliers & chase until delivered
  • Provide customers with regular job updates.
  • Check and approve supplier invoices for parts ordered
  • Organise & arrange for warranty parts to be returned to suppliers & chase credits notes where applicable.
  • Send work sheets & service sheets to customers as soon as job is complete
  • Liaise with Engineers – providing information & answering any queries.
  • Cover for Service Planner when required.
  • Book Engineer hotels
  • Schedule vehicle maintenance & repairs
  • Answer incoming calls, confidently dealing with all enquiries.
  • Always provide excellent levels of customer service

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £17,000.00-£19,000.00 per year
